A street that keeps moving
Lantern Walk is set on a narrow night-market street: jade carvings, porcelain, silk fans and trays of cut stones under strings of red paper lanterns. The board is five reels of three symbols with twenty fixed lines, read from the left.
The lantern is the wild and the reason the game feels busy. It never lands on the first reel. When it does land, the lines are counted first, then every lantern on the board steps one reel to the left and the other cells spin again without a new stake. A lantern that started on reel 5 can carry four respins before it walks off the left edge; a second lantern that lands on the way joins the walk.
What to expect
Rounds are quick and modest. Most spins return part of the stake or nothing; the respin chains are where the larger line totals come from, and they appear often enough that the game rarely sits still for long. Because every respin is free, a chain can turn a quiet spin into a decent one, and just as easily end with nothing added.
A good habit here is to pick one stake for the whole visit and watch the session panel instead of the reels. The net figure tells you more about the evening than any single chain does.
How to play Lantern Walk
Pick a stake and press Spin. The stake is shared across all 20 lines.
Three or more matching symbols on a line, starting from the left reel, return the amount in the pay table times the line stake.
The lantern wild stands in for every symbol. It never lands on the first reel.
After the lines are counted, every lantern moves one reel left and the board respins for free. A lantern on the first reel walks off and the chain ends.
New lanterns that land during a respin join the walk.
